Berachah Ministries is an evangelical ministry run by Indian Pastor Kiran Paul and his wife Lakshmi.

Berachah Ministries focuses largely on sharing the Gospel to their community of Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, by raising up local leaders and pastors. But in everything that they do, they know that words without action is not enough and from this ministry, stems many others.

The Berachah Children's Orphanage was founded in 1998 with 7 children when Pastor Kiran Paul acknowledged the heart-breaking need in his community to rescue destitute and street children from moral perversion, brutal exploitation and poverty. Kiran Paul's vision is to share the heart of God and thus be a father to these children, molding them into respectable citizens of India and respectable citizens of the kingdom. Today, the orphanage is home to over 220 children providing 3 meals a day, education and after school tutoring, vaccinations and healthcare. The orphanage also organises foster accommodation for 70 children with church families and facilitates the childhood vaccinations of the town and surrounding villages. The orphanage is a beacon of hope, a place of new beginnings and a home full of Jesus' love.

His Harvest partners with Children to Love (USA) in sponsoring the orphanage.

Berachah Ministries supports widows and young women freed from prostitution. Yearly, Berachah Ministries invites women to partake in an intensive 3 month tailoring course. At the end of the course, the women are given a sewing machine and are assisted in starting their own tailoring business.

Berachah Ministries also runs a nutrition program to children that live in rural villages by ensuring they receive milk, eggs and bread 6 days a week, commodities that are rarely affordable. Healthy and nutritious food builds healthy minds which enables these children to concentrate better at school. In a developing world, a good education is paramount.

In partnership with His Harvest, Berachah Ministries also plans to implement further developmental projects such as microfinance and the founding of a primary and secondary school open to under-priveleged children in Machilipatnam and the surrounding villages.

Berachah Ministries is financially supported by the generosity of individuals and churches via a fund administrated His Harvest. As the orphanage is growing, we are always in need of support whether this be by prayer or financial support. Our most pressing need at this time is the completion of the girl's dormitory. The Indian government has threatened to put the girls back on the street if they are not housed in a different location as the boys. Despite this ultimatum, they have not granted the orphanage any money to assist them in building the girl's dorm. We are still in need of $40,000 AUD.

We always welcome teams and individuals that want to participate in evangelical meetings, building construction and maintenance, health and hygiene clinics, the women's ministry or simply to spend time with the children experiencing the beauty of the culture. If you wish to be involved in any capacity, please contact us. What may be a small donation on our part will change a life for eternity.
