B Ministries is a charity run by a local Indian family.
B Ministries understands that words without action is not enough and from this ministry, stems many others.
The B Children's Orphanage was founded in 1998 with 7 children when Ps K acknowledged the heart-breaking need in his community to rescue destitute and street children from moral perversion, brutal exploitation and poverty. Ps Kβs vision is to mould these children into respectable citizens of India. Today, the orphanage is home to over 220 children providing 3 meals a day, education and after school tutoring, vaccinations and healthcare. The orphanage also organises foster accommodation for 70 children with sympathetic families and facilitates the childhood vaccinations of the town and surrounding villages. The orphanage is a beacon of hope, a place of new beginnings and a home full of love.
B Ministries supports widows and young women freed from prostitution. Yearly, B Ministries invites women to partake in an intensive 3 month tailoring course. At the end of the course, the women are given a sewing machine and are assisted in starting their own tailoring business.
B Ministries also runs a nutrition program to children that live in rural villages by ensuring they receive milk, eggs and bread 6 days a week, commodities that are rarely affordable. Healthy and nutritious food builds healthy minds which enables these children to concentrate better at school. In a developing world, a good education is paramount.
In partnership with His Harvest, B Ministries also plans to implement further developmental projects such as microfinance and the founding of a primary and secondary school open to under-priveleged children.
